Yavari in Peru
Shanbrooke Accoyo Yavari
Shanbrooke Accoyo Yavari
Shanbrooke Accoyo Yavari is a stunning White Peruvian huacaya sire, imported from the world-famous Accoyo herd in Peru, with all the essential traits we seek in a superior working male.

Handpicked for his optimum fleece qualities, heavy cutting fleece weight and masculinity, Yavari has an impressive frame, excellent substance of bone, great coverage, fineness, lustre, consistency of micron & crimp, with superior staple length and density plus! His first fleece tested at 17.4 micron and at 5 y.o he was tested at 20.3 micron. Fleece weight – 6.2 kgs (Nov 2003 shearing).

Selected as a suitable sire for SRS© Alpacas Australia. He was imported in 2003 by Ron & Dianne Condon of Shanbrooke Alpaca Stud VIC, and Warralinga Gorge now own him in partnership with Shanbrooke. Yavari’s progeny have been winning significant show awards, including National Show Championships since 2004. In addition to many Sires Progeny awards at major shows, he sired the National Supreme Champion winner in October 2006. Some of his top offspring have been selected for export. Yavari is now 9 years old and is used both for natural matings within our herd and in our ET programme. He stands at stud for outside matings on a very limited basis, with these services reserved for our own customers.

Purrumbete El Dorado
Purrumbete El Dorado (now deceased)
Warralinga Gorge Stud Stock are truly fortunate to own the last three female crias born as a result of ET to this great sire. His reputation as one of Australia’s outstanding stud sires is legendary, and will live on long after his death at the age of 18+ years in 2006.

See Articles “A Measure of Greatness, Purrumbete El Dorado – A Damsire of Distinction” Parts 1 & 2, by Matt Ridley, published in Alpacas Australia magazine, Issue 45/2004 and Issue 46/2005.
Purrumbete Inti
Purrumbete Inti (now deceased)
was owned in partnership between the Dicksons of Warralinga Alpaca Stud, Lesley Drake of Jurustalle Alpacas and Maureen Carey of Forestglen Alpaca Stud.

Inti also had a well-deserved reputation in the history of the Australian alpaca industry and at 16+ years of age was still highly sought after to improve fleece quality over females of all types and colours. He was still holding a high-frequency uniformly crimping golden fleece (solid medium fawn) and consistently produced true-to-type offspring with fine, stylish fleeces of excellent length. Inti was the sire and grandsire of countless championship-winning progeny for both halter and fleece competitions throughout Australia at Royal Show and National Show level since 1994.
Schubert Maestro
Schubert Maestro
IAR 29554 DOB 22.3.l998
Sire: Jolimont Marcello
Dam: Jolimont Peruana

Maestro is now at a mature age and is still holding a soft lustrous and uniform fleece with a minimum of guard hair. These fleece characteristics combined with his good conformation makes him the complete package. He has a high breeding value as his progeny consistently show a minimum of guard hair, while retaining good density and softness of handle. This is also confirmed by the many championship awards achieved by his progeny.
